Dating server Mamba.ru popular in Russia conducted a polling why women want to marry a foreigner. A total number of 32,000 of the dating site Mamba.ru users from Russia and Ukraine at the age from 18 to 50 took part in the polling. Results showed that nearly all respondents are ready to marry a foreigner. Only 15% of girls imagine that in a foreign country there will be a well-to-do life. Generally (42%), women think that a stable average income is waiting for them abroad, and 7% of respondents are sure that there is nothing special in foreign countries, that everything there is the same as in Russia. A considerable number of women (35%) have never thought about life quality abroad at all. For them first a person himself is important but not what future will be like.

According to the opinion of the half of the polling participants at the Mamba dating site, appearance and character of foreigners and Russian men have no difference, and 14% think that foreign citizens even give way in this to ‘native’ representatives of stronger sex. Therefore, the results of the polling showed that not life abroad and not looks are determinative factors for women.
Statistics showed that according to the opinion of Slavic brides foreign man have better attitude towards representatives of weaker sex (40% of respondents answered so), and quiet and predictable future waits for them (35% of those asked). These very motives are determinant in decision to connect one’s life with a foreigner and probably change a place of residence. Therefore, behind a wish of many women to marry a foreign man there lay not the problems in the country or income level, but a character of interpersonal relationship.
